61st ISSA Convention & Trade Exhibition

The annual International Shipsuppliers & Services Association's (ISSA) Convention, along with its local National Association, UAE National Ship Suppliers Association (U.N.S.S.A), is staging its 61st Convention in conjunction with Seatrade Maritime Middle East (SMME) 2016.
The Convention will run from 31 October – 2 November 2016 and is a must-attend for maritime industry professionals to connect with leading shipowners, managers and suppliers; learn the latest market trends and innovative solutions; and explore new business opportunities.

Established in 2003, the Seatrade Maritime Awards Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & Africa are considered the Region’s Premier Maritime Awards.
An evening of celebration, held under the patronage of His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World and Chairman of Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA),  this year's awards will be held on the first night of the SMME - 29 October. Record numbers of guests are expected to honour the achievements of a distinguished winners.

UAE Maritime Week

Through the collaboration and efforts of key parties, sectors and business players, the Dubai Maritime Week, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is a convention that will showcase Dubai’s pinnacle status and its momentous potential in the global and regional maritime sectors.
The primary objective of Dubai Maritime Week is to bring together multiple stakeholders for one motive; to collaborate and contribute to the progress of maritime industry and, by extension, their own businesses.

Seatrade Tanker Middle East

Seatrade Tanker Middle East 2016 will provide a comprehensive discussion on the fundamentals of the tanker market, looking at the pattern of supply growth, the factors influencing demand and the size of the order book, with a strong emphasis on the Middle East region and the outlook for its principal players. 
This morning session is organised in association with the International Association of Independent Tanker Owners (INTERTANKO).

IMarEST Technical Forum

Full afternoon Technical Forum, in association with the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST) UAE Branch, enables those interested marine professionals to attend and keep abreast with maritime development, independent of their employers’ contribution towards formalized training.
These hugely popular seminars are organised by honorary committee members who sacrifice their spare time with the sole objective of providing a rich and diverse source of information with which marine professionals gain a better understanding of maritime technology.

Admiralty United Kingdom Hydrographic Office UKHO

Research by the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office reveals that 59% of the global SOLAS fleet is now ECDIS-ready. The UKHO is offering free seminars designed to ensure that the navigational benefits of ECDIS are achieved in an efficient and compliant manner.
‘Living with ECDIS’ requires ship owners and operators, ship managers and serving officers to be constantly aware of changes in legal requirements, compliance and maintenance issues surrounding the adoption and ongoing management of ECDIS. The seminar covers all of these issues and guidance on the latest IHO ECDIS Standards.
