WELCOME TO THE 9TH EDITION OF THE SEATRADE MARITIME MIDDLE EAST
2018 will be an important year for the maritime industries of the Middle East. Global trade recovery will stimulate further investment by the region’s port and logistics sector, and accelerate its engagement with smart innovation technologies.
As some of its leading owners continue their tanker fleet modernisation programmes, new entrants such as the BahriBunge joint venture will expand the region’s dry bulk shipping capability. The official launch in January 2018 of a $5.2 billion mega yard in Saudi Arabia, to meet Saudi Aramco’s offshore production and transport needs, will, when completed, further enhance the region’s claim to be a major centre for shipbuilding and ship repair. With its success in gaining election to the IMO Council, the UAE is taking another important step towards establishing itself as a multi-dimensional global maritime hub.
Seatrade Maritime Middle East, the region’s world class Maritime Convention, will draw together all the important strands of this complex and innovative maritime community. For those who want to do business in this market, there is no better place to see at first hand the opportunities it offers and to meet those who are driving it forward.
This flagship event for the maritime sector attracts more than 8,000 attendees from across 90 different countries who specifically use this platform to do business with owners, operators, managers, charterers, superintendents, senior management and anyone involved with the procurements of equipment and services within the maritime, offshore, oil & gas and ports industries.
Held as part of Dubai Maritime Week, this year we will build on our 2016 success which saw a record number of attendees attend this key maritime event.
