Dr Khaled Al Mazrouei has held a number of high profile roles and driven sustainable business expansion across the Emirates’ transport sector. 

Before joining ADSB in 2013, he served as the General Manager of Fujairah International Airport for more than ten years and Chairman of the Gulf Airport Services Association. He was also the Founding President of the Green Aviation and Logistics Group, an environmental body aimed at driving green initiatives across the aviation industry. 

Since Dr Al Mazrouei took over ADSB, the shipyard has become profitable within a short period of time in spite of the down turn in the global economy.

For his outstanding achievements and contribution to the maritime industry, he was ranked 14th among the top 100 CEOs of publicly listed companies in the GCC region at the ‘Top CEO Conference and Awards’, organised by TRENDS magazine and INSEAD business school, on 5 April 2016. He was the only CEO in the maritime industry to receive this recognition. He has also received ‘CEO of the year’ award at Shiptek 2016 and ‘Personality of the year’ at Seatrade Maritime Awards 2016. 

Dr Al Mazrouei’s achievements in various industries, ranging from aeronautics to the maritime industry are a clear demonstration of his excellent leadership attributes to sustain businesses in volatile and dynamic business environments.

Dr Al Mazrouei graduated from St Louis University (Missouri, USA) with a Bachelor of Science in aeronautics. He also earned two masters degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Florida, USA) in business administration in aviation and aeronautical science. He received his doctorate in marketing management from the University of Lincoln, UK. 

He has lectured at different universities across the UAE, in Marketing, Business Management, Aviation Management and Aeronautic Engineering, and he often speaks at several local, regional and international conferences.
