Category:

Abu Dhabi Ports was established in 2006 to position Abu Dhabi at the forefront of global maritime trade and industry. Today, it operates 11 ports and terminals across the UAE and abroad, as well as Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), the Emirate’s premier integrated trade, logistics and industrial hub. Abu Dhabi Ports’ flagship deepwater port, Khalifa Port, is the region’s first semi-automated container port, with capacity set to increase to 9.1 million TEU’s over the next five years through partnerships with some of the world’s leading maritime companies, such as COSCO SHIPPING Ports Ltd and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company. Through strategic investments in a number of ports including Fujairah Terminals and Mugharraq Port, Abu Dhabi Ports is increasing capacity across the UAE. Abu Dhabi Ports is also harnessing emerging technologies to simplify and streamline trade operations through its digital entity, Maqta Gateway, and delivers a range of marine, navigational and ancillary quayside services through its marine arm, “SAFEEN”.
