Abu Dhabi Maritime is the primary custodian of Abu Dhabi’s waterways and maritime ecosystem.
Established in July of 2020, following an agreement between AD Ports Group and the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Abu Dhabi Maritime is tasked with integrating and streamlining the governance and oversight of Abu Dhabi’s maritime sector.
Leveraging on AD Ports Group’s maritime expertise, the new entity functions as a consolidated single point of regulatory entry with the mandate to implement effective maritime services, state-of-the-art infrastructure and uphold the highest
health, safety and quality standards.
By working together with all stakeholders, Abu Dhabi Maritime helps deliver on Abu Dhabi leadership’s vision for the emirate to become a leading maritime capital.
Abu Dhabi Maritime’s responsibilities include:

The dedicated workforce and state-of-the-art-facilities at Drydocks World complete over 300 projects per year, with a record of handling 42 refurbishment projects simultaneously.
The yard is spread over 200 hectares; 4 dry docks with the largest dock capable of handling the world’s largest ship and over 3,700m of berth space. Innovative projects for key global players have been constructed in Drydocks World, breaking records for some of the largest new build offshore fabrication projects worldwide.
Strategically located on the Red Sea coast in King Abdullah Economic City, King Abdullah Port, ranked by The World Bank as the world’s second most efficient port in 2020, is the Middle East’s first privately owned, developed and operated port. Occupying an area of 17.4 km2, and enjoying close proximity to the key Saudi cities of Jeddah, Holy Makkah, Al Madinah and Yanbu, as well as its direct access to extensive transportation networks that facilitates the cargo transport through the kingdom and the rest of the region, the port is making an increasingly important contribution to the Kingdom’s global role in maritime trade and logistics. Once fully completed, King Abdullah Port will be capable of handling 25 million TEU, 1.5 million CEU and 25 million tons of clean bulk cargo annually.

Red Sea Gateway Terminal is a privately-owned, independent terminal operating company based in Saudi Arabia, operating the busiest container terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port, one of the world’s Top 40 Container Ports by volume.
Container traffic at RSGT is projected to reach 3 million TEUs in 2021. With a $1.7 billion expansion underway, annual container throughput capacity is expected to grow from 5.2 million TEU at present, to 9 million TEU by 2030, the end of the current concession term. The RSGT Jeddah facilities cover 1.5 million square meters, with 11 berths and 3,300 meters of quay, including a deep water alongside depth of 18 meters, able to accommodate vessels of over 20,000 TEU capacity. Providing world-class integrated logistics solutions to the global trading community, RSGT serves as an engine of growth for both local and regional economies, and will play a vital role in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 infrastructure investment and economic diversification program.
Tomini Shipping is a ship owning business wholly-owned by the Shaikh family, which for close to 70 years have been involved in every aspect of the shipping market including ownership, technical management and manning, whilst commercial management is handled through their partners Alpina Chartering in Denmark.

All of which is made possible by through our global network of chaplains, staff and volunteers.
