Rayan Qutub was appointed Chief Executive Officer of King Abdullah Port in November 2017. He has more than 22 years of experience in the logistics and industrial sectors, as well as diverse experience in the development of real estate and international educational and health care institutions. His experience also includes the development of regulations for the purpose of business development and the creation of a sustainable investment environment.
Prior to his current position, Qutub served as CEO of King Abdullah Economic City's Industrial Valley. During that period, KAEC Industrial Valley became an ideal destination for local and international industrial and logistics companies, attracting more than 120 leading companies in the pharmaceutical, food, logistics, automotive, construction and packaging sectors.
Iqbal is the Program Director for Blockchains & Innovations for Global Markets, Enterprise at IBM. He is a banker who moved over to management consulting and has built an intuitive understanding of the intersection of business and technology. He has applied cognitive analytics, Watson (artificial intelligence & machine learning), mobile, big data and Blockchains to accelerate go to market strategies and operationalize new business models. Most recently, Iqbal conducted the successful adoption of distributed ledger technology to trade for financial institutions. He followed that up by extending it across the value chain. Iqbal works at the cusp of adoption of innovations by banks, governments, central banks and commercial organizations, as part of their digitization strategies.
Captain Nichols is Director, Business Development for Advanced Solutions and is responsible for the development and delivery of cyber security services for maritime ports and terminals worldwide.
Captain Nichols joined ABS in June of 2018 after a 26-year Coast Guard career where he served in a number of marine safety positions including Chief of Port Operations, Commercial Vessel Inspector, Chief of Outer Continental Shelf Drilling and Production, and Staff Judge Advocate.
Captain Nichols received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated cum laude from Tulane Law School in 2000 with an Admiralty Certificate. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the U. S. Supreme Court Bar.
A Marine Engineer by education who started his career at sea and after sailing as a Chief Engineer joined DNV in 1995. He started out as a Surveyor and a Lead Auditor & later took on Project Management roles & was amongst the pioneers involved in shuttle tanker conversions amongst others. He was Country manager for DNV GL Indonesia and after a successful assignment there relocated back to Singapore. In Singapore as a Senior Principal Surveyor established the Singapore Service Center to streamline customer support and enhance efficiency by providing a single point of contact for all operational issues. He took on his present role as Business Development Manager Middle East in August last year.
Marcus Machin is a Law graduate of Cambridge University with senior shipping and project finance banking experience in London and Switzerland.
Resident in Dubai for over 20 years, initially as the Finance Director for a major regional participant in the oil services and vessel owning sectors, prior to establishing arabCapital in 2000 and partnering with London based Tufton Oceanic Finance Group (‘TOFG’) in shipping and offshore sector finance and investment assignments.
Tufton Oceanic (Middle East) Limited (‘TOME’) an asset manager, was established in 2006. TOME manages conventional and Shariah compliant funds invested in the marine sector on behalf of a number of GCC and international institutions. To date investments exceeding US$1,300.0m have been made by TOME whilst in aggregate TOFG manages in excess of US$1.5bn of assets, all invested in the international marine and offshore sectors.
Capt Tony Field's 22 years in shipping include eight years as Master serving on a range of different vessels; container ships, multi-purpose, Ro-Ro, car carriers, bulk carriers, general cargo, offshore and hovercraft. Between 1996 - 2000 he operated his own consultancy company in the US Gulf specialising in supervising cargo operations on board/ashore, damage/condition surveys & incident investigation. Between 1994 -1995 he spent 9 months as the Merchant Navy Liaison to the Royal Navy at Greenwich. He joined Lloyd's Register in 1994 as Surveyor/MMS auditor. He specialised in accident investigation, risk assessment of vessels, companies and port operations, human factors in shipping plus the re-structuring of shipping related companies. Today he is responsible for all Commercial and Naval Business / Operational aspects of the Middle East & Africa Region.

Dr Malcolm Willlingale has worked in the shipping industry for over 40 years and has experience of different sectors including ship management, ship classification, bulk liquid logistics, freight forwarding and ship broking. He graduated from the University of London and gained his PhD from the University of Southampton. He held various senior management positions with the major ship management company V.Ships.
Latterly, Dr Willingale has focused on providing training and advisory services. He has presented on many courses on behalf of the Cambridge Academy of Transport in various countries including a series of induction training courses (Marhaba) which he designed and delivered on behalf of Bahri. He is a regular presented on MSc courses run by the World Maritime University and Shanghai Maritime University.

He graduated with a B.Sc. With honors in Management of Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran and has completed several professional development programs from top business schools like Harvard, Stanford, Kellogg, and London Business School.
Taher Al-Dabbagh is currently designated as Senior Vice President at International Maritime industries and is In charge of Human Recourses, Training & Development, Information Technology, Health; Safety; Environment and Quality, Facilities Management & Support Services and Industrial Security.
Earlier he was the Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Officer at the Landmark Group managing human resource strategies, plans, and operations for Landmark Arabia's 15,000 employees. He led the company's nationalization transformation with nationalization improvements in retail from 37% to 52%; feminization increases from 24% to 38%, exceeding 4,500 national females; and doubling the numbers of the national leaders in store managerial roles from 134 to 352.

Frank Coles qualified as a Master Mariner, Class One after 12 years at sea. After leaving the sea, Frank gained an LLM in Legal Aspects of Maritime Affairs.
In 1995, Frank joined Pacific Basin Bulk Shipping as Operations Director. After that he became the CEO of Rydex, a company specializing in maritime communications.
After that Frank joined Sperry Marine as a Vice President. In September 1999 Frank became COO of Globe Wireless LLC. In 2003 Frank was appointed CEO, President and a member of the Board.
In 2011 Frank joined Inmarsat as the Director GX Maritime, and in December 2011 he was appointed the President of the Maritime business unit.
In September 2015, Frank Coles joined Transas as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors.
In May 2018, after a successful Transas acquisition by Wärtsilä at a transaction value of MEUR 210, Frank Coles became a President of Transas Group, Wärtsilä Voyage Solutions.
In September 2018 Frank Coles was appointed as Chief Executive Officer for Wallem Group.
Hani started his career working on offshore and onshore rigs in field engineering roles related to coiled tubing and wellhead installations. He joined Lamprell in December 2011 (after the acquisition of Maritime Industrial Services) and managed the Offshore Rig Refurbishment & Land Rig Services business until 2016. He became Vice President of Operations & Projects in January 2017 responsible for the group’s operations, projects and asset management functions. Hani has 17 years of diversified experience in the oil and gas industry’s oilfield services, projects, proposals, and operations management in multiple countries in the Middle East. Hani has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Manchester Business School.
Andrew is President of the Maritime Portfolio within informa`s Global Exhibitions Division. He took up this role in September 2018 following the acquisition of UBM by informa PLC. At UBM Andrew was Group Director for Aviation and Maritime with a portfolio of B2B events in the Cruise, Maritime and Airline Route development markets.
Andrew joined UBM in January 2014 to be part of the acquisition of Seatrade that took place that year. Previous roles include Managing Director of National Boat Shows, his first step into the events industry.
His career has developed through several blue chip companies including Black and Decker, several senior roles at the Walt Disney Company, Managing Director at Nintendo UK and Vice President of Metro Goldwyn Mayer in the UK.
