The “Sustainable Supply Chain Management Award” will be held in association with IMPA, which promotes and facilitates co-operation and understanding between purchasers and suppliers across global maritime.
For an industry that is not only relied upon to transport 90% of global trade but also going through its own period of rapid digital transformation, it is more important than ever that shipping businesses seek to efficiently optimise and streamline the management of their supply chain. A tremendous amount of effort has already been invested in managing and creating sustainable links.
This award will therefore recognise companies and/or individuals putting sustainability at the heart of their supply chain management processes. Judges will be looking for quantifiable evidence of reduction of negative environmental impact, new ideas with cost effective business models, R&D commitment and the breadth of impact on organisational culture.

In addition to Sustainable Supply Chain Management Award, there will also be a series of new categories introduced to Seatrade Awards 2020, spanning a diverse series of topical maritime themes including operational efficiency; digital adoptation and human responsibility.
