Introducing the Parliamentary Debate for 2019

This year’s Seatrade Awards will include a pre-dinner Parliamentary-style debate which all guests can attend and hear a lively, interactive discussion about a highly topical motion – with the results announced during the ceremony dinner.

The Parliamentary Debate has proved an exciting addition to the Seatrade events programme in both Asia and the Middle East, and the introduction to the Seatrade Awards in London is a fitting addition for the 31st edition and the move back to Guildhall, London.

Bringing together leading industry luminaries, three debaters will speak for and three against the motion:

'This House believes that the early adoption of smart technology and automation will be an unqualified benefit for the maritime industry at sea and on land’

The debate will be chaired by:

Harry Theochari, Chair, Maritime UK and Partner – Global Head of Transport, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP

Be a part of this exciting debate and contribute to shaping the future of the global maritime industry for the coming year!
