Ship Owner/Operator Award

The judges are looking for:

Maritime Law Award

The judges are looking for:

  • Pre-emptive advice offered to clients

Ship Finance Award

The judges are looking for:

  • Range of financial solutions offered and ships covered            
  • Role in existing ship finance projects

  • Quality of due diligence and default record

Fuel Efficiency Award

The judges are looking for:

  • Initiatives undertaken to improve fuel efficiency
  • Innovations by the company that improve fuel consumption
  • How crew/staff are incentivized to improve fuel efficiency
  • Gains from fuel efficiency in terms of cost and environmental performance

Communications at Sea Award

The judges are looking for:

  • How has the company used communications to improve operational efficiency
  • What has the company done to utilise communications for on-the-job training of seafarers
  • Innovations made in using communications between ship and shore
  • Investments made in communications for seafarer welfare
  • Initiatives undertaken in cyber security to ensure secure communications and operations

Deal of the Year

The judges are looking for:

  • The commercial impact on the company and monetary value of the deal
  • The strategic planning process involved in the completion of the deal, time frame for completion and number of parties involved
  • Significance of the deal in the market and its contribution to the company's future growth
  • Speed to assimilate merged or acquired companies into parent's framework

Young Person of the Year 2019

Presented to an individual under 45 who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry.

Integration of Women in the Maritime Sector Award

Inspired by, and in support of, IMO’s World Maritime Day 2019 theme of “Empowering Women in the Maritime Community”. The award will recognise the inspirational leadership and achievements of one of the Industry’s leading women.

Personality of the Year 2019

Awarded to an individual who has made a major contribution to the shipping industry in any field.
